Inspirational Prayer

The Bible is full of inspirational prayer stories where God did miraculous things to help his people in need. These stories inspire us and build our faith, but we can also learn from them how we should approach God ourselves.

- Pray for the Sick
- Holy Spirit Prayer
- Pray for Prosperity

Ever since our intimate relationship with God was severed when Adam and Eve fell in the Garden of Eden mankind has sought to commune with God again. The problem is that now mankind has a sinful nature and cannot have that one on one fellowship like we once did. As the Scriptures say, what fellowship can light have with darkness. God is light and we are trapped in darkness, therefore our fellowship is broken.

God saw our plight and reached down to us in many different ways throughout the centuries. In the Old Testament he set up sacrifice and the ministry of priests as a way for people to come to Him and commune with Him. God was able to do a lot for people in this way, but God had another way in the workings for this communion between God and man to be brought back together.

He announced this way through the prophets and fulfilled it in His Son, Jesus. God made a way for us to come back to our former glory in which he created us where our spirits are born again. When we trust Jesus as the complete atoning sacrifice of our sin, our old sin corrupted spirit dies and we are born again into the likeness of God as we once were. Now, since God is Spirt and we are spirit we have fellowship with God. The need for sacrifice or going through a priest to reach God is not needed. If we have been born again, we have direct access to God.

Many times we can't grasp the access we have with our Heavenly Father and struggle in prayer even though we have been born again. We must have our minds renewed to God's way of prayer if we want to have some inspirational prayer stories of our own. God has left the task of renewing our minds up to us but He has given us an over abundance of help to do so. He has given us new spirits created in His likeness that we can be led by, He has given us the Holy Spirit who teaches us through our born again spirits and shares with us the mind of Christ. He has given us the Bible, filled with examples and instructions that we can implement. He has given us a family of believers whom we can talk to, pray with and share our experiences with. He has given us ministers who are gifted at explaining the mysteries of Christ.

With all these resources, we have no excuse to not become prayer warriors who can connect with God intimately and pray His will out here on the earth. By doing this we will bring Him much glory. It is God's will to work in all of our lives and for each one of us to be examples of inspirational prayer.
