Inspirational Devotions

Inspirational devotions are the focus of this ministry. A weekly devotional organized by topic on many Biblical themes. Each page is written in a concise devotional style with links to related devotions for those who would like to explore the topics further. The purpose is to minister to those who have specific questions quickly and effectively but also minister to those who want to dive in deep.

All devotions are purposely written as concise as possible. Quality, not quantity is the objective. The realization of one small truth is enough to turn a life around. One small truth can open our eyes to God and things in Scripture that we had been missing our whole lives.

Truth comes from the Holy Spirit and he is ultimately our teacher. One way that he teaches is through others. I have been blessed to be able to listen to some phenomenal Bible teachers. The truths they laid out changed my outlook on life and my understanding of God and the Bible. I remember reading the Bible after listening to a sermon series on righteousness and thinking to myself, "This is a brand new book!" It seemed new because my eyes had been open to a new truth of God.

I once wondered why God would call me to teach the Bible. It seemed to me that anyone who had access to the Bible could read it for themselves and get the blessing strait from the source. Then one day I had a conversation with a friend whom I knew was a strong Christian. He expressed that it was very difficult for him to read and understand the Bible on his own. I was shocked! I knew he loved God, the fruit was obviously in his life but he struggled in getting anything out of personal Bible study. At that point, I knew why God had called me to teach. There were people in the Body of Christ I could help. Now, it's my greatest desire to help people experience God's Word and its transforming, eye opening power.

Inspirational devotions are one way that I can use my teaching gift. May the Holy Spirit use and empower these devotions to advance God's Kingdom and be a blessing to God's people everywhere.
